The President's honoured guests this year were:
College Principal Remley Mann and her husband Eamon

Chair of College Governors Professor Chris Painter

Head of the College Trustees Alan Cutler
The special guest speaker was Mr. Andrew Pickersgill, consultant Gynaecologist & Obstetrician, who in his early years, was taught by one of our past Presidents Bob Lloyd-Jones.
We were delighted and grateful that they were all able to attend.

Prof Chis Painter and Alan Cutler
Rob Franks and Prof David Walker
Andrew Pickersgill and Bob Lloyd-Jones
The dinner itself was held in the snooker hall, suitably arranged in banquet style, thereby allowing the main bar to be used for pre-dinner refreshments and convivial discussion.
The diners were called into dinner at 7.30 pm for the formal proceedings. Paul Thatcher efficiently assumed the role of Master of Ceremonies for the rest of the evening.
Mike Deathridge said Grace and the scene was set for dinner.
The starter of Parma Ham and Melon was followed by a very palatable Roast Sirloin of beef, topped off with Cherry brûlée and ice cream and, to finish, Cheeseboard, coffee and mints.
As usual, Tim worked his wonders in preparing the magnificent dinner in total - all served effectively by Tracey and her staff and washed down with the varieties of wine and other refreshment provided in the Club.
The build-up to each toast included introductory contributions from each proposer and in-depth responses from those concerned.
Of particular note, President Mike Aston thanked all those responsible for the success of the evening (with reference to Tim and Tracey specifically).
He went on to outline the various positive changes and proposals that have been made during his Presidency in recognition of how the Club must change in the future.

College Principal Remley Mann provided a most informative account of how the College is changing and growing in the face of reduced funding, initiatives to secure extra revenue, more international students and the attractiveness of the College campus itself. She went on to enlighten us on the challenges of last minute preparations for Ofsted visits and to reassure us of their success and the continuing success of KEVI College as being one of the best in the UK.
Guest Keynote Speaker
After proposing the toast to the guests, David Winterford introduced our guest speaker, who was educated in the area, and is an acknowledged expert consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician with most favourable reviews from his patients.
Andrew Pickersgill then entertained us with a light hearted review of his history and how it led onto his career in various aspects of the Health Service.
His anecdotes and humour were much appreciated by all and provided an excellent conclusion to the evening's proceedings.
