20 Members and guests attended the annual lunch on Saturday, June 16th for the celebration of the granting of the Charter to the School / College.
Guests of honour were Alan Cutler, (head of Trustees to the College) and Jake Main (2018-2019 elected Chair of the Students Union at College).
Following a brief introduction from Jem Norris, President Roger Hadley opened the proceedings by welcoming the attendees and saying Grace.
The scene was set for lunch.
The asparagus starter was followed by the customary platter of a selection of delicious cold meats.
The main course was served by an overwhelming variety of salads and other tasty items which exceeded expectations in terms of both quality and quantity.

Coffee and Mints
A tasty strawberry mousse was followed by a good selection of cheeses and then coffee and mints.
At all times, a copious supply of white wine, perpetually topped up by Jem Norris, was to hand to wash down the excellent meal prepared by Tim and served by Tracey and her staff - excellent value for money in total.
Paul Thatcher proposed the loyal toast, followed by the toast to the ‘Boy King’, Edward VI – “ In Piam Memoriam Edwardi Sexti ”, proposed and led by Alan Cutler.
There were no formal speeches but President Roger Hadley rose to his feet to thank all those who had been involved with the preparation and delivery of the event which was most enjoyed by everyone.
As part of this he made special reference to those who had come a considerable distance to be with us - in particulate David Winterford from Cheshire and (not to be outdone) Michael Richards who now resides in California!
He was especially pleased that the Chair of Students Union (Jake Main) accepted the invitation to join us.
It was a delight to receive him and helps to extend our ongoing relationship with the students at the College.
