Committee Dinner 2018

The Annual Committee Dinner was held on Monday, November 19th.
This is the culmination of the year's Committee activity and celebrated the successful and enjoyable Presidential year of our current President Roger Hadley, who hosted the event.
Apologies were received from Mike Aston, Paul Davies and Peter Waldron. Past President Alan Cutler attended as the President's guest in his significant role in managing our wine selections all year and also helped prepare the occasion.
President Roger Hadley welcomed everyone to the event.
Vice President Brian Arch said Grace, paving the way for the formal dinner.
On the menu this year :
Goujons of Sole for starters
A very tasty Steak and Kidney Pie with lashings of vegetables for mains
Citron Tart for dessert
A wonderful and varied cheeseboard as always
Coffee and mints
A selection of fine wines and port
All were wonderfully prepared by Tim and served efficiently by Tracy and her staff.
After dinner, the regular toasts were proposed to royalty past and present (President and David Trewin respectively) followed by the special toast to the Club (The President).
President Roger explained what a good and enjoyable year he had, with thanks for the support from the Committee.
Much had been achieved ranging from club signage to car park repairs and (for the very first time) advertisements in Stourbridge News which have already produced results.
Those present likewise acknowledged the President's contribution and thanked him for both his year of service and for the excellent dinner.
The President concluded by revealing the name of the new Vice President which, in traditional form, will not more publicly announced until the AGM in December.
