PRESIDENT'S EVENING AUGUST 11th 2018
The annual President's Evening was held this year on Saturday 11th August.
It is the occasion when members historically welcomed their wives / partners for a convivial evening at the Club.
Nowadays, with members of both genders, it is seen as an occasion of good food and entertainment to which all are invited.
President Roger Hadley welcomed the 51 attendees to what he hoped would be an enjoyable evenng.

At 7.30 pm prompt, the President invited everyone into the main snooker hall which had been converted into a banqueting hall for the meal.
Once seated, it was time for Grace to be said. This year, the tradition of saying Grace was passed to the President's wife, Gaye.
It is thought this is the first time a lady may have said Grace on such occasions. Now established, we hope this will continue into the future.
As always, Tim had prepared one of his "Royal buffets".
Mouth watering salmon, cold meats, salads and all kinds of accompaniments were in abundance, together with a range of desserts and cheese, nicely rounded off by coffee.
After a suitable comfort break, the first of the entertainment was provided by Richard Hadley, the President's son, who at various times has held very senior positions as a Funeral Director, ECB Cricket coach and senior member of the Angling Trust.
Much of his focus was a light hearted look at the ins and outs of the history and practices of the Funeral business.
Then it was the turn of a few members of Cradley Heath Male Voice Choir who entertained us with witty tales, jokes and some folk songs.
The President wound up the evening by giving thanks to all who attended and contributed, to Tim and Tracy and their helpers for the excellent food and to Jem Norris and others who had helped organise the memorable evening.
And, for posterity, the table plan showing who attended.
