Some 30 members and guests attended the Casablanca Evening at the Club on June 7th.
As an innovation, the large display screen in the Edwardian Lounge was used to good effect later in the evening for a showing of the famous film. (Thanks to Mike Aston and Annabelle Wright for various photos).
On entry, attendees were treated to a "French Seventy-Five" - a cocktail which featured in the original movie.
Those attending were invited to wear optional attire in line with the theme of the film - with varying dress displayed for both men and women attending to add to the "mood".

One of Tim's buffets was then served prior to the classic film being shown which gave a chance for some more enjoyable socialising.

At the end of the proceedings, our President Clive was presented with a birthday cake to celebrate his 97th birthday (and his ever youthful demeanour to the envy of everyone).
A good time was had by all.
