Some 22 members and guests (some of whom had travelled considerable distance) attended the Club on the lunchtime of Saturday, June 13th for the annual celebration of the granting of the Charter by King Edward VI.

The event took place in the Memorial Room.
As is usual, Tim had prepared a magnificent buffet of cold meats and all the trimmings, preceded by a starter of Apsaragus and Hollandaise Sauce and followed by a dessert of Lemon Meringue Pie and Cream, selection of cheeses and coffee and mints.

Following the meal, the toasts were proposed by David Trewin.
Past President Clive Bowen-Davies then formally introduced President Arnold Homer.
The President thanked everyone for attending and also Tim, Tracey and her staff for the wonderful meal.
He then wished a "Happy Birthday" to Mike Lewis whose birthday coincided with the event. Of note, Clive Bowen-Davies had also achieved his 99th birthday the week before and we wish him continued good health and remarkable youthful demeanour. We look forward to his 100th birthday next year!
The President continued with a local tale "for Stourbridge people" before concluding the event.
As usual, it was a very enjoyable lunchtime with good food and convivial company.
