After the meal, it was time for the "after dinner" entertainment. This year, the President, with his colleague Adrian Jackson, provided a "Desert Island Discs" session based on the President's selection and he was duly interviewed by Adrian.

Those who attended last year's event will recall that Adrian brought to us the irrepressible Su Pollard (of Hi de Hi fame). He has spent a lifetime in the music industry and currently broadcasts his own programme on the Radio. In the recent past he has been CEO of the Grand Theatre at Wolverhampton for a number of years and involved with several orchestras and many celebrities over the years.

This year, Adrian's role was to interview President Arnold who then spent some time explaining his choices of music - which included:

Adrian contributed his professional knowledge. He had been fortunate to interview one of the top people involved in the production of the original Mary Poppins film / music and provided interesting insight into how and why the song "Spoonful of Sugar" was conceived and created - among other anecdotes.

Adrian deserves special thanks for not only compering this most interesting session but also for installing the magnificent sound system which enabled it to happen - this also provided some welcome background music whilst the attendees dined. Peter Harrington should also be thanked for preparing a parallel backup proven system in case the technology "did not behave itself".

After the most enjoyable "Desert Island Discs", Clive Bowen-Davies thanked Adrian and the President and all who had made the event happen successfully.
